And to make that happen, we improve our software every single day. Starting this summer, we’re setting up a brand-new development team at our Zwolle office.

Your role and impact:
As our Lead Developer, you’ll be the technical compass and mentor for the team in Zwolle.
You will:
- Define the technical direction together with our Software Architect and ensure the quality of our codebase
- Translate product roadmaps into clear sprint goals and divide work within the team
- Actively contribute to the codebase with PHP (Laravel) and TypeScript (React)
- Coach senior, medior and junior developers, conduct code reviews and host knowledge sessions
- Collaborate closely with QA, DevOps and Product Owners to further enhance our CI/CD pipelines and test automation
- Act as a bridge between our Zwolle-based team and our international colleagues
What you bring:
- You bring at least 6 years of experience as a software developer, including 1 year in a leadership or mentoring role
- You operate at a higher professional or academic level, ideally with a background in Computer Science or a similar field (though your experience and vision are more important than your degree)
- You’re highly skilled in PHP (Laravel) and TypeScript/React
- You have a broad technical background, including topics like microservices, REST/GraphQL APIs and cloud infrastructure
- You believe in clean code, high-quality standards, and long-term solutions
- You know your way around design patterns and know how to explain and apply them
- You communicate fluently in both Dutch and English
- You’re excited by the challenge of building up a new team and making technical decisions that will last
- You stay on top of the latest developments in software engineering and enjoy driving technological innovation within your team and organisation
