AutoProff connects TransConnect’s trading, payments and vehicle-transport services to deliver a best-in-class B2B experience

AutoProff is a European B2B platform where businesses buy and sell used cars directly. Dealerships, OEMs, leasing firms, fleet owners and traders meet in one place to trade vehicles without intermediaries. The AutoProff team supports customers throughout the purchasing process. That simplicity helps explain the platform’s rapid growth.

Stephan Tempert, Commercial Director at AutoProff Benelux, says: We bring professional buyers and sellers together directly. Every day at 11am, we run a dedicated auction featuring vehicles from across Europe. No middlemen, no hidden costs, just a secure environment for trading cars quickly and reliably.

In 2022, more than 81,000 cars changed hands via AutoProff. As cross-border volumes grew, so did the need for an integrated vehicle-transport solution, an area that had previously sat outside the digital journey.

A European platform pursuing end-to-end digitisation

AutoProff’s purchasing process is fully digital, transparent and fast. But once a sale was complete, transport still had to be arranged manually: calls to hauliers, separate quotes and uncertain delivery times. For a platform built around efficiency, it was a significant bottleneck.

Tempert adds: Customers bought a vehicle on our platform, and then the hassle began: requesting prices, coordinating schedules, chasing emails. That’s not what a modern digital process should look like.

International transport was rising, too. Users expected logistics to be as digital and straightforward as the rest of the transaction. AutoProff decided transport should no longer be an external step, but a seamless part of the overall user experience.

The partnership: making transport part of the transaction

The TransConnect API made this possible. Users can buy vehicles with transport included, pay easily and securely, and book logistics in a single click without leaving the AutoProff website or app. Communications are automated, including notifications on collection, delivery and documentation.

As Tempert puts it: Transport prices appear in real time alongside each listing. If a customer adds transport, they immediately see the cost, and the order is sent straight to the TransConnect platform.

Tempert emphasises the value of that transparency: We’ve been working with TransConnect for more than five years. Customers appreciate being kept informed at every step. When transport is scheduled, they immediately receive an update with the expected collection and delivery times.

Operational impact: a more professional experience, less work behind the scenes

The impact was felt almost immediately. Customers gained clarity on costs and delivery times, could track every step in their dashboard, and no longer had to chase updates. Internally, AutoProff’s support teams spent less time handling transport queries, and purchases moved through the process faster.

The combination of a modern trading platform and integrated logistics has also lifted conversion on international transactions. With transport no longer a hurdle, cross-border buying becomes far more straightforward. It aligns with AutoProff’s vision: international trading should be as easy as purchasing locally.

TransConnect delivers an average transport lead time of 4.6 days across Europe for AutoProff. That predictability is set out in clear service-level agreements between the two parties, with performance monitored and refined through active SLA management.

This reliability directly improves the experience on our platform, Tempert says. Users know where they stand on costs as well as delivery times. That trust translates into higher customer satisfaction and a sharp rise in repeat purchases.

Ready to scale across Europe

The approach has helped put AutoProff firmly on the European map. The platform is now active in almost all EU member states and traded around 150,000 vehicles in 2025.

TransConnect’s technology scales in step with AutoProff’s ambitions. The platform is expanding rapidly in multiple countries at once, and by automating transport, that growth remains manageable without adding complexity for users or internal teams.

Tempert sees the integration as a foundation for the next phase: Combining the platform with integrated transport is exactly what our customers need. Because TransConnect covers Europe end to end, we can keep growing without adding complexity.
